Jigsaw – Neurodiverse Adult Group

Who We are and What we do

A space for neurodiverse young adults to engage in activities and develop relationships.

This group was formed by one of the members who has been a part of this club since a young age but felt support within the area was no linger available when he became an adult.

Whilst the overall emphasis is to provide a safe social space and encourage relationships, the group became an immediate success and progressed into encouraging independence, life skills, education and employment support, whilst signposting to relevant support agencies.

The session reflects the varied interests of the group who have complete ownership of activities. They can vary week to week depending on the needs of the group.

Music – Karaoke, Workshops, Create and Imaginative Theatre

Models – Remote Control Cars, War Hammer, Battle Tech and D&D.

Art and Anime

Creative Writing – Short Stories, Comic Books, Song Writing and Poetry

Gaming – Wii – Sonic and Wii Sports, Pool, Board Games.

Socialising – This is the key factor of this group.

Due to the needs of the members we utilise the whole building for this session, allowing for quiet spaces.

Since January 2025 we have visited Portsmouth Comic Con, Various Coffee Shops and most recently we have been sailing at Cobnor activity centre.

When We meet

Every Wednesday 4.30pm to 6.30pm during term time.
